The opening pages of the catalogue design explained the labelling systems used in the listings while reflecting the strong existing brand guidelines provided by the client.
The main catalogue pages present valuable product ordering information including specifications for sizings, colour choices and so on.
Here is a detail of a typical page. Some products required long description text, while others required tabulated specifications. Each product listed its availability using a system of colour-coded dots that were explained in a glossary key. To streamline the artwork production process, we designed a typeface with individual characters replacing the coloured dots. With thousands of product listings, this represented a massive time saver and avoided possible errors in the artwork.
